Altherr Nature Park Morning Walk

Play this quest in ShenanigoTucked into Monticello's south side, Altherr Nature Park is 16.5 acres of loop trails, restored prairie, wetland, pollinator gardens, an amphitheater and a nature observation deck. It was created with a gift from William L. Altherr, and most people drive right past it.
Best in the morning: dew on the prairie, pollinators waking up, birds at the wetland and cool air. It is short and easy, good for little legs, and about an hour.
Free. Monticello parks are open sunrise to sunset. Check posted signs about dogs before you bring one. Stay on the trails and leave the flowers for the bees.
Play safe: stay on public sidewalks and grounds, respect private property, and never read your phone while driving.
