The park closes at dusk, so aim to arrive about an hour before sunset, enjoy the glow, and be back at the car as the light goes. About 2 hours and 2 miles on foot.
Main Street is US 52, a busy truck route: stay on the sidewalk and cross only at crosswalks. Sugar Creek Township Park is free and open dawn to dusk. Dogs can run in the fenced bark park; keep them leashed everywhere else. Bring a blanket and a light jacket.
