Play this quest in ShenanigoRemington started life as "Carpenter Station," named for Carpenter's Creek. The depot went up in the fall of 1859, trains began running in January 1860, and grain elevators followed in the 1870s. The railroad still splits downtown in two.
A long history walk along the tracks, the elevators and the creek that gave the town its first name. About 2 miles. Photograph the railroad only from public sidewalks and crossings, and never walk on the tracks.
