Play this quest in ShenanigoA long, slow photography quest through downtown Lebanon. Each step teaches a trick the pros use: leading lines, texture, reflections, framing, silhouettes. The square is a gift for this: eight one-piece Bedford limestone columns, each about 35 feet tall and roughly 30 tons, a stained-glass dome, terra cotta, rough-cut stone and Bedford limestone storefronts.
Best in the late afternoon, when the limestone goes gold. Plan on two to three hours with breaks.
Play safe: stay on public sidewalks and grounds, respect private property, and never read your phone while driving.
