The Big 4 Trail Through Lebanon
Ride or walk the old Big Four railroad from the Sam Ralston Road trailhead, through downtown, to the south side parks.
Play this quest in ShenanigoLebanon paved 3.3 miles of the old Big Four railroad corridor, and the Big 4 Trail now runs from the Sam Ralston Road trailhead, under the tracks, past downtown and south toward Abner Longley Park. Northwest of town it keeps going through farm country toward Thorntown.
Bike or walk, one way or out and back (about 6.5 miles round trip, plus an optional farm-country bonus). Ride single file, give walkers a friendly "on your left," stop at every street crossing, and wear bright colors. Bring water.
Play safe: stay on public sidewalks and grounds, respect private property, and never read your phone while driving.
